Default what shocks?

I've been reading on the site for a while and found many helpful things. I have a 1996 ram 1500 ext cab 4x4 sport with 178xxx miles on the stock shocks, the front left shock is now blown and i need new shocks. I don't need the best and don't want to spend a bunch of money, but i also don't want to go with the cheapest and regret/ not be happy with them. The stock shocks that are on it have been fine until just recently and would like something comparable or better. I'm not sure if its true or not but I've heard the sport shocks on the sport models were a little longer which made them sit up a little more. I like the height my truck sits and definitely don't want it to sit any lower. I would like to get the shocks changed out as soon as possible so any help on what shocks to get or stay away from would help a lot.

Thanks a lot

I have the rancho twin tube self adjust. They arn't bad but the majority usually say to go bilstein. It was too difficult to find 2" lift shocks and stock rears for the bilstein, so I went with simplicity and when with the rancho.
