Default m1 Intake

Somebody on the forum has offered to trade me an M1 intake for my xenon fender flares. Can anybody give me some information on an M1 intake. What will it do for my engine, and is it a nice product? Thanks guys.

You will lose some bottom end, but you will never have to worry about the plenum gasket anymore.

Make sure it is the fuel-injected model...some are for carb setup.

Nice. So will this eliminate having a gasket all together? I think it's a pretty attractable offer he has made. I just wanted to make sure it was something worthy of installing on my truck. I take it's going to make my air intake and headers more useful as well.

Alrighty, then I will accept his offer to do the trade. I probably won't get around to getting it installed anytime soon, but the mere fact it has a maintenance aspect to it appeals a lot to me.

Well don't forget about the loss of bottom end before you make the decision.

With your somewhat stock truck, Ram2K1 and zman are right, you may lose bottom end. But the more upgrades you do to your truck, you'll recover that bottom end and more, because they will all compliment each other nicely. Especially if you get a tuner like the SCT.

dual plane or single plane M1? carbed or FI? 2bbl or 4bbl? You better know the answers to those questions before you trade.

He told me he took it off a dodge ram 1500 with a 360. He's from this forum. Told me the 1500 came with a trade he made on a Cummins diesel. Said he's taking off everything that he can possibly sell or trade.
