Default Rear springs?

Simple question, can I take springs off of a 2500 or 3500 of roughly the same year and put them on my 1500, I just want a beefier sping, not really for heavier loads, I just want them.

i don't know, but i've heard that 1500 springs are 2 1/2 inches wide and 2500/3500 are 3 inches wide. check on that before you spend any money.

on my old chevy, i went to the junk yard and found some springs and u-bolts on an old van. i added the 2 or 3 longest leaves from the van to my truck and used those longer u-bolts. it turned it into a tank. it'd haul anything. rode like one too.

I read on here in a thread some where , that a 2500 2wd has 2.5 inch springs. They bolt right on.

For the 4x4s no, they are too wide. I've not heard that the 2wd trucks have the narrower springs. That would mean they use a different frame which doesn't make sense to me.
