Haha, I was about to suggest CertiFit. I have that bumper on my truck. Cost what you stated.

Good luck with a junk yard. If you can even find a ram in one, chances are its there because of a front end collision.

Yeah, like I said, I actually went to a salvage yard. They didn't have any Rams with undamaged front ends, but they did have the aftermarket parts. Ended up costing me just under $300 I believe it was for parts. The lower plastic piece didn't fit 100%, but close enough that its nothing a couple of bolts, washers, nuts, and a drill can't fix on the next warm day (probably March/April).

If you're patient, unlike me, probably be cheapest to get parts from CertiFit.

Yeah, that lower pad didn't fit quite right. I finally got it adjusted, and there's a slight gap here and there. I'll put some permatex in there once it dries up around here.

Bumper pushed in and my NEW BRUSH GUARD is shot...insurance won't pay for the guard. I have a 250 deductible but I can't see the bumper costing me that much and I replace it myself for the labor.

Any help would be great.
Wish you had a 2006 - 2008 I have a complete Custom Deluxe one brand new with brackets, fog lite holes, and license plate braket in my garage I've been trying to get rid of for $250. I put an off road bumper on 2 of this guy's 2008 Ram and he didn't want them. The trucks were brand new with paper tags. The Wine colored one sold quick but the one I have is white and chrome an I've had it in my garage since this summer. I've listed it in the classified section. If you can modify it to fit your's you can get it.

Oh anyone out there with any knowledge to how much work would need to be done to fit a 2006 bumper onto a 1998 truck? I've always liked the newer bumpers!

Back to the insurance thing, idk about ur insurance but, Coca-cola dropped a coke machine on my driverside rear quarter panel right under the back window and i went to Dodge who quoted me $1500 they cut me a check and i just used it to pay bills lol. I can get it fixed by a bud for like $200. So some insurances pay u not the shop, just my two cents.

that is true but your situation is slightly different. you were not at fault. if you are not at fault the other insurance company generally will just cut a check because then they are no responsible for more damage found, on any hand I just need to ask my insurance. just gotta make sure they don't open a claim on me from asking...they tend to do that and that is exactly NOT what I want to happen.
