Hi all, any help appreciated.
I have a 98 Ram, 1/2 ton 360 auto,4x4.
Last summer I tried to fire it up and it would get real close but would"nt start. Last month I put a battery in it and it fired right up. Friday it rained pretty good through the night and it would"nt start again, sounds like its spitting out through the throttle body, it has been running real good started right up first turn, good power, gas mileage normal. It sounds like its real close to firing up just wo'nt start.

 

Try the coil. Check the fuel pressure also. And take a look inside the dist. cap .

 

you will need a tune-up... including a new distributer, points, plugs, wires, and coil.. also fresh fluids (oil, anitfreeze) check timing and all that good stuff... once you get the tuned-up.. run some Techron fuel system cleaner thru your truck...

 

New distributor and points? Ain't no points on these trucks. A cap probably but not the whole distributor.

 

i ment a cap
