I have to agree as far as the corrosion part of it goes. If the vehicle doesn't get used all that much, I think the brass gets corroded quicker. IMHO

oh it got used plunty while it was on there. Alot of people say to use it but I wont again. I'll buy a msd if they make one before I buy a napa one again. Plus our local napa is a rip off I'll drive farther to an Advance before going there

I just go with SMP ignition parts. Never had a problem. Even the wires are 7mm and routed they way they were from the factory not according to the TSB. I'm afraid to change the routing! LOL

Only time I had misfire probs was when my plenum gasket was bad and toasted my CC.

this is my experience.my plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and coil werent bad. all were stock form. i replaced them with everything above and felt no performance difference,or mpg difference. same with the msd boxes. i have put them on 3 different vehichles and couldnt tell any difference. i wont be putting a msd box on this truck. now if you had a full blown race truck, the msd box might help then. but on a slightly modded motor,on just think they are a waste of money.just my opinion.
