The oil capacity for these trucks is not 5.5 qts...it is 5 qts. The can of Restore is not a full qt. A qt. of oil is 32 oz., and the can of Restore is 19 oz. So it takes a little over 4 qts. of oil and the can of Restore to fill it.
...with either a wix or fram filter. No issues yet...
Wow, thats quite a mix. Wix, one of the best quality filters you can buy, and Fram, one of the worst quality filters you can buy.
I'd say do Wix, Mobil1, or K&N oil filters. If you see any research places that have cut open the filters, you'll see why most of us recommend one of those three brands.

Man, you ain't lyin!!! Wix has long been if not the top, then one of the top filters made. Fram gets the worst review every time I read one.
I use Wix almost exclusively, but in a pinch would not hesitate to use a Mobil 1 or Purolator. I've not used them, but the K&N's get good reviews too...

Oh yes, forgot about the Percolators or however you spell it. Have never really looked for, and therefore never seen one before, but they usually get good reviews as well.
Wix also makes NAPA's filters, if you want to buy one of those.
'tis true, actually I think I've used maybe two or three in my life that actually said "WIX" on them. I usually go to NAPA and pick up their NAPA Gold filter, made by Wix...
