You have a 727. 3 forward gears, one revers, plus park, and neutral. That makes it a six speed.

46RH will have a locking torque converter.

RH is the older version of the trans, used in trucks 95 and older. (and maybe some 96 models as well) RE is newer version, features electronic governor, instead of the mechanical one found in the RH. 96 and up transmissions should be RE. Doesn't matter what's hangin' off the back of the trans.

I need a good part source for 46RH pressure gov. 1995. A HD upgrade would be great. All I see out there is for RE 96 up

That's because you have a mechanical governor. The only thing you can do with that is change the springs, to either raise or lower your trans pressure/vs. RPM

Starting in 1989 the overdrive transmission was an OPTION before is became standard in later years! If you have a overdrive button on the dash somewhere it's a A500 if not a 727. Talk about hijacked thread!

Default 97 Ram 1500 and 98 Durango switch.

We have a 97 Ram 1500 360 auto 4x4. What is the difference between this and the transmission from a 98 Durango? What are any concerns? I believe it is a 46re and know connector to Neutral safety is different.
Thank you.
