I gotta say option 1. It's a one-owner in stock setup. I would never buy a truck that had been modified, b/c MOST people only do that stuff for 1 reason...to beat the **** out of it off-roading. Chances are, the guy with the stocker only drove it and serviced it. That's where I would look...just my .02, though. Good luck.

Well i found some more contenders:

Truck #4
2000 with 318 and 5-speed tranny, 125k and 7000$, owner has had truck for 8 years, so either 1 or 2 owners. Looks like another family stock truck!

Truck #5

Nearly identical to truck one. has 151,000 miles, 4000 less than truck one. Same paint syle...auto 5.9L and asking $5000...looks stock to me!

I would find out why #4 wants $2000 more than #5, Is it a higher trim level (SLT Plus vs SLT, for example), does #5 have a rebuilt tranny or something, or... etc. etc.

Sometimes people think their truck is worth X amount of dollars, despite what the market says. Watch out for those people.

well, I love the look of truck 5, the color combo is great... Truck 4 is too blurry.. Truck 1 and 5 seem like safe bets.. and nice trucks.. Truck 2 has been worked hard. truck 3 looks really clean, not just cause it's an 01, but because it looks to have been cared for, not really worked hard, probably off roaded a bit, who wouldn't? but it doesn't look abused. the tranny may need bands adjusted, from what I'm seeing it's a regular maintenance thing with this tranny.. But in the end, it's your decision, think hard, and pray on it if you have to, but go with your heart, buy what you want.. Like I and LEgendkiller said, we both got burned on shady dudes, but neither of us regret buying the trucks we bought.. I love my truck I can't drive.. hehe.. I will have it fixed ehen I get the money, and I will have an AWESOME truck!! I couldn't ask for more...

Just go with your heart man...

It might be just the regular cab. You would be suprized at some of the prices out here though! almost all the trucks on autotrader, cars.com, classifieds, craigslist average 125k mi and about 6700$. I'm trying to purchase trucks in south denver, but just about anywhere in colorado trucks are in high demand, there is lots of open space in the state, lots of parks, lots of snow, lots of mountains, lots of farms. All these guys use trucks

I am really picky, i do preffer a 5-speed over an auto due to them being less prone to trouble. And they are just flat out more fun to drive. I drove both today and the standard really won me over.

But even little things like telling me the price of windshield repairs etc... really helps out alot. And whoever mentioned the stub shaft issue that helped alot too... The mechanical advice has helped tremondosly in determining the severity and cost of these problems.

I know it sounds ccrazy, but thats where I got mine.

#5 is a 97, number 4 is a 2000... that's why the $2000 more, picure is too blurry to see well though, and no pics of interior etc.. might be better shape, no cracks blah blah..

Hmm ebay does sound a bit crazy but ill give it a shot. Truck 4 blue books at 6300 in "good" condition given nearly evrey option and if it were a 5.9...hes asking alot if there is some minor body damage.

I'm likin' #4 now...try to talk him down though...7K is just silly. But, it's a 2000, which means OBDII, it seems stock, which means probably not been beat to death off-road (hopefully) and it has the 5-spd tranny. Even though it is the 318, I would rather have the 5-spd than the 360...do what you want, man.

Truck #4 is blurry. But I really like #5. That color combo is awesome. Definitely a good looking truck.
