Default Fog Lights

Bought a new set of chrome fog lights for my truck. Last summer when I installed my 6K HIDs on my headlights and foglights, I was really bumming when my fogs looked like crap. My foglights were just so dirty, it looked like an old fluorescent bulb lol. Not only did the foglights look moldy, but they weren't very useful on the roads. I'm hoping these fresh new fogs will make the HIDs shine through clean like my headlights, and project some more light=).

Are they plastic or glass lenses? I noticed after I installed my HID's into the fogs, one of the stock lenses cracked right in the center, where the bulb comes close to hitting.

Might've been from the bulb or just a coincidence.

BTW - Very nice looking Ram.

The HID's cracked the lens because the heat source is closer to the lens. Only use HID in glass lens units.

Then why do you have them in your headlights?

Who said anything about headlights?

9004 bulbs sit about 3 inches away from the front of the housing, where as an H3 bulb generally sits about 1/16 of an inch away. Kind of a big difference.

I'm not sure how the Ram is setup, I can't remember. However, in my Durango, it has a cover over the tip of the light and still has a few inches before it even comes close to the housing.

I was referring to a 9004 HID bulb, but your statement reinforces what I said. The distance from the bulb to lens is far greater then that of an fog/driving/madgnarfroading light.
