Default truck jump

Hey Guys,
I have a 2001 ram 1500 V8 5.9 auto trans. club cab 4x4, it has 86,000 miles on it. The truck seems to jump every once in a while maybe every 50-70 miles to be specific. If I sit in drive with my foot on the brake it will jump also. I havent watched the rpms to see what they are doing due to the fact its so un pedictable. When it jumps it will only be for a second then run fine, also seems a bit slow for 5.9.
Thanks for any help,
Ben

Its probably a bad ignition coil...or a faulty spark plug, Id imagine you can test the coil using a digital multimeter and the ohm function. I have had the same problem occur on some maximas.

If daveonline's advice leaves you none-the-wiser, I'd also check the spark plug wires.
