Unless your a top notch mechanic then dont worry about having another mechanic check it out. Maybe read over the forums here for a list of inherent problems before buying so that yo may know wht you are getting into.

Wouldnt be bad idea for a stciky. What you shoul dknow before buying a used dodge ram!

Nice looking truck. But, At the very least you should remove the air intake from the TB and check out the plenum.

Hey Eric, I live in Poughkeepsie and saw that truck before getting mine. I believe that guy is a dealer if I remember correctly.

The miles scared me off and 9 miles to the gallon in the winter for a daily driver didn't help me either. I ended up with a 97 with 60k and a 318 for about what you're paying. I was able to register it at DMV and that helped a lot if you know what I mean.

Good luck, if you want to get together, just PM me.

As I said earlier in the post I live down in Rockland County in the town of Stony Point and I think it would be awesome if more guys in the same area as each other could get together here and there. Eric, as Vader has said, feel free to PM me as well if your interested, I know you said Hudson Valley so you've gotta be near by.

Yeah, I live in Fishkill. I would be down for a get together. I just bought a house and have plenty of room and a nice sized garage. I hear lots of talk about off-roading in the Mt. Beacon area but from what I can tell most of those trails are closed off now.

Vader, I was a little skeptical about the miles too, but I did a KBB appraisal and according to them the truck is worth just over 8k. Like I said I drove it, everything feels solid. It needs a couple of cosmetic things but no biggie. I'm pretty handy with cars, my dad owned his own auto shop when I was growing up so I'm good with wrenches.

Thanks all for the words of encouragement.

~Eric

Another site for you to use other then KBB is NADA. Its a very good site and I know most dealers use it. Just another reference as far as the value. And I am an hour and 27 mins from Fishkill. lol
