Default Help please! new stereo install

Hi all,
I've been trying to install the new pioneer head unit I got for Christmas and I'm having some trouble. There's 2 plugs in the truck that don't seem to have a place in the back of the new unit. One looks like a phone jack type plug and the other just has two prongs coming out of it. Can anyone tell me what these wires do or what they're supposed to be plugged into? I have the wiring harness from Best Buy but it didn't come with anything for these two plugs. Any help is appreciated thanks.

the prongs are for the rca wires that go to an amp.

Are you talking about an aftermarket amp or one that's already in the truck? Sorry, I don't know the first thing about sound systems so I'm learning as I go. So the two wires coming from the truck don't need to be plugged into anything if I don't have an aftermarket amp?

I hooked what I could up and the head unit turns on and everything but I don't get any sound. Nothing from the tuner or the aux port. Any idea about what's going on?

When you took the stock head unit out, did it have a wire connected to the chassis on the back of the unit?

IIRC the last install I did on a dodge ram it had a flat braided ground wire. But the end had a round terminal I believe.
Idk what the plug with two prongs is though.

I think it connects to the chassis ground on the factory radio... if its the connector I'm thinking of... a wire with a rectangular box connector.

Maybe it depends on what year i guess. Mine had a thin black wire with a black plastic head that slid onto a flat metal piece coming out of the back of the chassis on the head unit. I am pretty sure it is a ground wire but my Pioneer head unit wouldn't play any sound til I connected the Remote wire since the stock door speakers and A-pillar tweeters were amped. Weird setup.

The truck is a '99 with the so called "premium sound system" if that makes any difference. Yes I am replacing the stock unit. There was a wire connected to the back of the unit that went to the chassis. I think that may be part of the problem because I don't think I have the new ground hooked up to a decent spot.

Bloodknight, so you had to connect the remote wire to something? What did you connect it to and why?

The two wires going into the plastic rectangular plug are shown in this wiring diagram. The wires are Violet/Brown and White/Black and they are labeled "CCD bus +" and "CCD bus -". Any idea of what they are and how I'm supposed to hook them up to the new unit?
