Default what works on ACC position?

I seem to have an electrical problem, my windows and blower motor seem to work without the key in the ignition.
Could anybody tell me if they do work when you set the key switch into ACC? If so, i know where to look for the problem...
I already took out half a mile of electrical cable that wasn't supposed to be there, now i'm still looking for that problem so the truck is back in stock wiring. I measured my amp consumption on the battery without any accessory on and no key in the ignition and it still consumes .220 mA, witch isn't normal in my opinion...

Thanx and best wishes!!

When my key is on ACC (accessory), or turned backwards, my windows and blower do not come on. All that comes on when I turn the key backwards is the stereo and wipers. For everything else, I have to turn the key forward to where all the instrument gauges light up. Hope this helps...

bigster, is that 0.22A or 220 mA? 0.220 mA is a pretty minute amount.

Ok, this helps a lot, so i have to check the circuit of the first and second position of my ignition switch to see what the previous owner ****ed up...

Thanx!!

It may have been modified. I know there are a few people on here that has added some wiring so that when the key is switched to acc the windows and the blower works. Normally when the key is turned to acc your radio and wipers should be the only things running. I have thought about re wiring so my windows will work with the key on acc but it seems like a PIA.

The low current draw is likely caused by the memory circuitry in your radio if you have one installed.

there isn't one in yet, and 0.22A is a lot to hold a memory... no?
Usually after a week of sitting she won't start anymore, now i have to wait a couple more days to find out if my new battery will hold it's current or not.

You don't have like a cell phone charger or something like that that you keep plugged in do ya? I know that it sounds strange, but that little light that tells you there is power to the charger eats more juice than you might think.
I am going to assume that you are not the original owner of this truck? If you are not you might call the previous owner and see if they modded the wiring so that the windows and climate control would work with the key off. I would bet that that's the case.

If you have all current draws off or disconnected, then it could be grounding through a bad alternator.
