Congrats. They were definitely one of my favorite mods. For the ease of install, and the relatively decent price, they are a must have in my opinion (if you plan to keep the stock cam profile). When I did mine, I didn't notice any real change in MPG's either (if I kept my foot out of it).

I only have 265's on it , but going to 285 bfg at's when these GY wranglers are done. I know I'll lose some bottom end, but the jump in power with these rockers I feel like I'll still be OK.(for the way I drive it)

Thanks Silver, Now I'm wondering if I should stick the 14x3 back on and relocate the IAT.. I'm running the stock air intake right now because I have not had good results with the 14x3. Maybe I'll stick the IAT in the side of the stock air hat and see what happens, if it's even worth the trouble. As far as MPG goes, I'll be using it on the highway Monday and I'll see what the results are.

If you just reset the PCM, the truck will be running a little rich until it sorts everything out, so your MPG's are going to be down right now. Try checking your MPG's after you have put several hundred miles on the truck and the PCM has fully adjusted. That will be more accurate.

just got mine ordered too! i am pumped. glad to hear such good results.

on my oil usage....i check my plenum every oil change. it was o.k. last time. hopefully it still is.i will check it though, for sure.

and thanks for the oil change tips. i think i will change it when i do the rockers and dump a qt over the new rockers. that sounds like a heck of a good idea.

A couple of other tips:

The little tabs that hold the wiring harnesses down to the valve cover bolts come off easier of you push up from underneath with a standard screwdriver

After you get the plug wires, wiring harness, and everything out of the way, just before you pull the covers, either shop vac out the little channel between the valve cover and intake manifold, or do I like did and grab the leaf blower and blow the whole area clean. That'll keep a load of stuff out of the heads when you pull the covers. If you do get some stuff in there and it worries you, just wash it down and out with a cheap quart of oil and let it drain straight out of the oil pan.
