where is the guide plate located that they want you too take it off?? and for what, becasue some people dont do it ??

go with 1.7 cheaper and easier to install, he said he was think about gears but with the power he got he says no need for 4.10 gearing . up too you . ill let you guys know my opionion on it when i do mine .. on monday or tuesday

the guide plates are a flat piece of metal with 2 U-grooves and a couple of bolt holes. they are underneath the current rockers you have on the truck. they help keep the pushrods from wandering and are necessary on the OEM style rockers, but not needed due to the design of the RR

No, they just come off when you unbolt the rockers.

If your putting in the HS 1.7's, the OEM guideplates have to come out with the OEM rockers. You do not need or want them with the new rockers.

The don't guide the rockers, they guide the pushrods. The design of the HS rockers allows the removal of the guide plates.

Oh and btw, I've been out with it again today, it is such a pleasure to drive with that extra power, it's like a different truck. I just drove it like I normally do and didn't have the feeling of wanting to drive it to the JY. LOL I'd still love to do the 4:10's , but who knows what's going to happen in the near future with gas and the economy in general. Besides, it's going to be at least a year before the tires need replacing and I go up to 285's. I'll go from there.

gonna shoot for getting my rockers installed next weekend. hopefully.they havent came yet, but should be here mon or tues.
