My gasket is full rubber...don't recall the brand, as it was on there when I bought it. I bought my filter kit at NAPA, but I chose to re-use the rubber gasket instead of the cork one that came with the kit. After I got the tq specs right, it stopped leaking. Don't know about the next time...heck, I may re-use it again!

I would trust the royal purple..they have a great reputation...go for it..it says its compatible.
