well the 1.7's should arrive today. so they should be installed by the end of this coming weekend.

my next thing is the edel ceramic shorties. if i donnt purchase them this week, it will be next week for sure. i am wanting to get those stage 8 locking fasteners for them. could someone give me a link or part # for them. i have found a couple different ones, not for sure which ones to buy. do i want the "double" headed ones? and whats the torque numbers on the bolts?

and which felpro gaskets should i use? link or part # would be sweet .i see alot of people like them.

if i donnt get the headers this week i will be getting the bolts and gaskets for sure.

and if there are better options in the bolt and gasket department let me know. i donnt want to skimp out on either one.

 

Felpro are good, but I would go with Remflex gaskets instead.

Looks good to me. And btw, do those 2 mods one at a time to compare the difference. 1 more thing, if those 1.7's come today,you better have then installed 2 hours late.LOL

 

i will make sure they are done at different times. i want to know what is giving the gains.

i wont be able to get them on today. getting ready to go to work now. probably be this weekend. 80+hrs everyweek donnt give me much time for anything. i only had 3 weeks last year under 70hrs. 2 weeks were 68hrs, and one was 48hrs (sick). and didnt take any vacations.....thanks for bringing me down.lol

how about those stge 8 locking bolts? any help from someone? just want to make sure i get the right ones.

thanks. got the numbers wrote down. those stage 8 bolts should help with leaks right? isnt that like the biggest problem why headers leak?

i wonder what the torque specs are? just want to make sure i do it right the first time.and will i have to retighten them like the regular bolts too?

I would only be able to give you the torque specs for the stock manifold. However, I would have to believe the new bolts would give you that info in the package.

And btw, any chance the 1.7's look like these?
