Default Tranny problem again

A little background. About 8-9 months ago got a code and tranny went into limp mode. After replacing the gov. pres. solenoid and sensor everything was fine again until last week.

In the middle of a 4k mile round trip vacation my tranny started to hiccup. Now and then it would feel like it shifted out of OD for a second and shift right back in. It only did this occasionally for about 3/4 of my trip. About half way home the check engine light came on giving me a p1764 code and the tranny is in limp mode again. Is it believable that the sensor or solenoid could already be bad again in 8-9 months? Probably 10k miles on them.

Its possible. If the transmission is making a lot of metal that is floating around in the fluid then it wouldnt be that hard to believe. That solenoid attracts ferrous metal and the more that gets stuck to it the worse the solenoid operates. Take it out and clean it and put it back in and see what happens.

Here's a crazy update. Drove it to work today shifting for it the whole way. (7 miles)
When I left work the first thing I noticed was the check engine light was out and the tranny was no longer in limp mode. I drove around for about a half hour to see if it would come back on. So far it hasn't. I guess time will tell whats going on.

Still intermittent. Light came back on Tuesday and stayed on until today. Now its out again. been having a ground issue with a couple wires under the hood. I'm starting to think that this might be my problem.

I may have found my problem. The light has come on and gone out a couple times. I have also been dealing with a bad ground issue with a couple wires that ground to the engine. They are the wires that ground at the top of the power steering bracket. I fixed the ground wire problem yesterday and since the tranny has worked right ever since. The light has gone out and so far has not come on. I bought the sensors that I now may not need. But at least I'll have them for when they go bad. I'll let you guys know if the issue comes back. Today while rotating the tires I just found out I now have a front wheel bearing going out.

Now the light is on again but the tranny is shifting fine. It is not in limp mode. This thing is crazy.
