Welcome to Df, and can you put all the info about your truck in your sig ? So we don't have to guess.

As far as the brake lite and speedo go, disconnect the electrical plug on top of the rear end housing and clean it. See if that helps. If not , replace it.

I'm signing off now , as my back is killing me and the meds are really taking effect, but that is a question you should not have to ask in the first place. It's ridiculous that it is not a required step to registering. And even more ridiculous that people register and ask a question without putting any info about the vehicle. Whatever!

When the adjuster was getting the information from me on my truck (after being rearended) he asked if it had ABS. I told him it had rear wheel antilock only. He gave me a funny look and said that I'm the first person he's ever worked with that knew whether it was 4 wheel or rear wheel only. I thought I deserved a cookie but he didn't give me one.

Anyway, sometimes it's frightening how little people know about the large heavy fast moving objects that they entrust their lives to on a daily basis.

:/

2wd. Ok you may want to clean or replace both speed sensors. One in the tailshaft housing of the transmission and the other in your rear end.

Id start there first.

Don't worry about it, I'm just on a rampage about people asking questions with no info. No biggy! And once again welcome too DF.
