Default Ball Joints?

Hello all. Well the balljoints finally called it quits in the Ram. They started creaking and popping bad today. My question is do I need a hydraulic press to remove the old ones or what? I'm just gonna do all 4 at once. This is pretty rediculous for only 72K miles! I've had GM vehicles that they've been good and tight at 150K plus! Of course they had factory grease fittings. Thanks in advance.

Can you swear a lot? You'll need to when you remove them.

That's a pretty thorough write up. Mine were a little different because of the 4WD. The only thing I didn't see on the parts list was some neosporin, band aids, and possibly gauze. It helps your battle wounds heal faster. Ha Ha. And like VWandDodge said, you'll need plenty of swear words.

Heck, with the ball joint press I rented from auto zone it was a walk in the park eating a piece of pie. And I don't think I swore much at all... but I CAN guarantee ya there was some beer involved

That's probably why you didn't swear much, Alcohol dulls the pain!

The main problem I had with mine was getting them to start in straight on a piece that does not have a parralel top and bottom.
