Default Nothing truck related, new toy

Just purchased the boat this past weekend. 1987 bayliner bass boat 17' 85hp force motor, foot trolling motor, fish finder, and gps. He threw in another 15hp tiller motor, 2 props, 2 new tubes, 2 covers, 2 new batteries, 2 tubs of misc crap.........$1,100 got a steal on it. Just wanted to let ya know where my money is if something breaks on my truck now! (which im sure it will since i bought ANOTHER boat!)

The tiller 15 might be worth as much as the 85 Force. They are in high demand cause now all you can get are 4 strokes under 25 hp, and they have a poor weight to hp ratio. I would sell it if it runs at all. What year/make is it?

Oh i definitely plan on selling it. It needs a new water impellor (typical, 30 bucks give or take) but other than that its good. Its a 15hp craftsman but im not sure on the year yet, i havent looked at it that closely. The 4 strokes are nice but only when its a bigger motor. Like you said that hp just isnt there on the smaller engines for the weight of them. My little bro is already trying to throw it on his duck boat!

Nice steal. Did he through in the boat trailer too, or was that yours already.
I don't have much need for a bass boat myself, I fish mostly streams and rivers.

I thought it was a great steal myself, thanks! No the trailer wasnt mine, i got the trailer in the picture. The picture is from his place sometime when there wasnt snow on the ground here.....thats definitely NOT my white trash place in the picture The four lakes by me are all connected by a river chain and if your careful you can make it from lake to lake and fish the river while doing it.

Nice buy. While we are on the subject of Towing Toys, my dad might be buying a 25', 1998 Jayco camper. It is imaculate on the inside. Perfect condition. The guy(orginal owner) wants $4,500.

No but he had a couple of cars he was trying to sell me while i was there He said he was moving and didnt have room for all of it.............thinking his house was getting fore closed on and was forced into living in an apartment now. Sad, but his loss is definitely my gain! I dont know what campers usually go for Purple but that seems like a pretty damn good deal for that!
