Default Wider Rim

Hey guys, I've been looking at buying a new set of rims pretty soon. Currently, my offroad edition wheels are 17x8. My tires are 285/70/17. If I buy a rim that is 17x9, will this make my tires stick out more? Thank You.

Depends on what the backspacing is on the rim.

Yup, depends on the backspacing my friend. How much do you want the tire to stick out?

Maybe an inch outside the fenders? That's probaby the biggest reason I didn't like my 285s, because they tuck in too much. But if there was a way to pop them out a little bit, I'd be very content with a 285. What backspacing should I look for?

That's the wheel I want, but it doesn't appear to have it in our bolt pattern. Our bolt pattern is 5x5.5 right? So a 5x5 wouldn't work right?

A 5 on 5 will not work....
...But....
...They have 18x9 wheels in a 5 on 5.5 pattern.

I like them, but please buy them from anyone except 4wheelparts. They are absolute hack mechanics that do not deserve to stay in business.

Wow, really? Do they just not ship them in a timely fashion or something?

Also, what do you guys think of these wheels?
