no the weight is fine Im just thinking of wear and tear on the truck sticking out that much! Plus the bad bad cops around me

So..yet another question! if a rim is 16x8 with backspacing 5" will it stick out the same, or close to it, to another rim 16x7 with backspacing 4"?

All you do to figure out how much more a different wheel will stick out (or in, i guess) is:

Divide the difference of the two widths by two (for your example above, it will be a +1/2" cause it's one inch wider), and then take the difference of backspacing and add that, or subtract it if it is more backspacing (like your example, which is -1")

So a 16x8 wheel with 5" of backspacing will actually stick inside the wheel wells 1/2" more than a set of 16x7 wheels.

Hope all that jibber jabber made sense.

Hey, you cant learn without asking questions, no big deal.

Well, my flairs had a rubber deal that went around the outside of the flair (the portion that touched the body), and when I took them of, wherever that rubber piece was touching the paint it basically rubbed the paint right off . Oh well, thats the least of my worries.

Heres an old pic for reference:

Oh, guess I have downloaded too many attachments. How the heck do you post pics directly in your thread?

So guys final thoughts on this wheel? I really like it, but wanted to know if you thought it was a good choice? Think it will look good in a 17"?

Exactly, just get the ones YOU like. You cannot get everyone to agree with any certain wheel.

Personally, I would rather just get a cheep DC wheel myself. They look good and are not too expensive. And in my opinion, that one with some balck on it would really look good on your black sport. But again, its all in opinion. Just get what makes you happy

You guys are sure right about that...your never going to appeal to every crowd, thank you.

I'm not sure if I asked this specific backspace question on this wheel, but the procomp I just showed you has a 4.75" backspace. So how much more are my tires going to stick out than they are now with my offroad edition wheels?

Would anybody be willing to photo shop the procomp wheels on my truck for me?

Each wheel will stick out 1" wider than the stock off road wheels. The backspacing will move them out 1/2" and the width is 1" wider (but only half of the width will be sticking out).

As far as photoshoping, I cant help ya there. Isn't there an area on this site just for that?
