BTW if you buy the K and N replacement filter you shouldn't have to buy another air filter again.
I didnt really see or feel any improvements over the fram filter for a couple of days. I guess it just took that long for the computer to realize a difference in the air flow...

If you build a CAI, and do it right you shouldn't have to worry about the plastic melting. That's just my O2 though.
i know about the k&n drop in.. million mile and all that. but my filters have never had any oil on them so im not worried about it. ive really been wanting to go with the open air cleaner but nobody has said anything about there being any improvements. also with these cold air intakes... if the filter is right behind the grill wont water get in when it rains?

Not enough to matter I dont think... The only issue I have seen with those setups is when people get into high water and mud. That being said, I dont care that people do that, but dont come on here and bitch about how you hydrolocked the engine after you sucked water into your motor. Nine times out of ten, people that have hydrolockes their motor like that were too dumb and when the motor died they imeadiatly turned around and cranked it to start it back up. MISTAKE!

i dont go mudding much and its only flooded around here once so im not worried about getting water in there.

1+ Major BS Not to mention it should take awhile for the computer to realize a difference in the air flow before you notice a change in performance.
