Default New Muffler. Stock pipe?

Well i ordered a Flowmaster super 44 for my truck, and im planing on just replacing the stock one with it, dont really care about better flow or not, just sound. Now i ordered a 2.50 in/out single in/out, ive searched abit but never found an exact answer but im pretty sure itll fit right up, but im wondering if the stock piping is 2.50 or 3? trying to figure out what all im gonna need. My muffler i have now is just clamped on so i think im just gonna go with that for the new one. I have all the tools to cut extra pipe cause i know the flowmaster is gonna be shorter.

Mine stock tailpipe is 3''. You can always get a reducer to neck it down from 3 to 2.5 if
yours ends up being a 3'' also.

The pipe on these trucks is 2.5" going into the muffler and 3" going out of the muffler.

stock walker muffler is 2.5 in AND 2.5 out.
However the sneaky you know whats take a 3" tail pipe and compress is down to 2.5" to fit the muffler. Geez.

as far as i know it is lv360 is correct. 2.5" in/out. I definately know it is 2.5" in. If you have looked under the truck there is a major difference between stock muffler and new muffler. You will need an extension pipe. Also don't overlook the stock tab on the muffler in pipe. (when you remove the stock muffler you will see what im talking about. Wish ya luck!

Mine's a 2001 and the stock muffler was 2.5" in/out, but the pipe on the "out" side was 3" stretched down to meet the 2.5" size on the muffler.
