Default New to the site and have a question

Hello,

I am new here. This looks like a great site and I look forward to meeting yall!!! My question is, my fuel pump still works fine, but the sending unit is broke. The guage will read all over the place and then drop to empty every few seconds. Is the sending unit only available for this pump? All I can seem to find is the entire unit. If this is so, is there a way to fix the broke level sending unit? Thanks for the help. Here is a old photo of my truck. I looks the same now except the paint isin really bad shape on the hood and roof.

It's all one unit. You replace the entire thing.

Yep, from what I have understood the entire unit has to be replaced. Mine has done this a few times as well the last few months, but will usually start working correctly when I shut it off and turn it back on.

Welcome to the site, and nice looking truck!

where is the best place to buy a new pump? I have found it online for around 240.00 from newdodgeparts.com. That seems to be the best price.

i like the truck, reminds me of my dads old 74 power wgon, had the same paint on it. but i think the best place to get one of those pumps/ units, either advanced or autozone. both do price matching. as long as the warrenty is the same. or maybe a carquest might be around you?

and i think i am the only one to read this yet, but just one question, why would you put 6.5inchs of lif with 35" on a 2wd 3.9? that just dont make any sense.

It was just a beach truck at the time. It never really saw real offroading. It has actually come in handy with how bad my area floods!! LOL it will most likely be going back to stock suspension and tires since it is becoming my daily driver agian. I wanted to do a 318 swap to it as well, but it never happened.
