Default sct tuner ?'s and selling bike $4000

1. I am thinking about getting an sct tuner for my truck to replace my superchip. i have heard that the sct is much better for heavily modified applications like my supercharger. is the sct the best or are there other options that would be as good or better.

2. Also, I am selling my motorcycle if anyone is looking for one. It's a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero 750. I am selling it really cheap because I need the money. The bike blue books for $5200 without the extras I have for it. All in all it blue books for almost $6000. I am asking $4000 and even willing to take offers close to that. email me at nathankluth@***.net for questions or pics.

if you're blown, you need to have an adjustable tune to maximize it.

So wait...you've been using the STOCK pcm settings with a blower?! If so, your crazy man. You need to monitor the AFR/timing/IAT along with many many other things. Did you take it to a dyno shop and have it tuned with the blower? If not, you need to do so ASAP before hitting boost. Either that or monitor it with a SCT pro racer or something equivilant....

I might be able to help you find a place in CA depending where you live (I live in Fresno). Usually you can buy a programmer like SCT and take it to the tuners. They will tune your truck using the programmer and "download" the tune on your programmer (like SCT). Using a tune with a few dyno runs will cost you about $300-400. But you also need the actual SCT programmer which will run you another $400. It can get expensive, but your car will run much better, and it will be safer on the engine. Just PLEASE do not drive your truck under boost ANY MORE (not even 1 pound!!) or else you can cause further damage to the engine. You have no idea how lean it is running, which can cause detonation, and blow your motor.

well the good news is that i took the sc off a couple months ago until i can get all the proper tools to make it run right. bad news is im located in san diego. do you know anywhere down in my area that does dyno runs? i was hoping to keep the cost under 600. are there preset settings for the sct tuners that are made for supercharged vehicles or do i have to run it on a dyno?

You better think about double, triple & even quadrupling that $600 budget.

Cant see your stock injectors being able to support that kind of hp increase (if at stock fuel pressure). Probably need 30lb injectors to be safe and have room to grow later. Stock headgaskets not too fond of boost either. Beyond 7psi, your starting to push the envelope. (Felpro 1008 min/Cometics better) Dont count on the trans lasting. Id add a deep pan, temp gauge and another cooler as minimum and preferably shift kit too.
Wide band o2 & a/f gauge & a fuel pressure gauge should be the minimum you get also. Intermittant fuel pump can cost a motor so best to know where your at, at all times IMHO.

Completely agree. You should tune for 11.5-11.8 AFR at WOT for optimal power and safety.
