It should outlast the V10.

But if there is ever a problem with it, it'll cost you an arm and a leg to fix. Far more than gas engines.

Hahaha! NO!! I just had this discussion with another guy on here. Take a stock V10 and a stock 12v Cummins. Yea the V10 will outrun it. But after its worn out in a couple years, that Cummins will still be going strong...Now, hook 15k lbs to each one and head for some hills, or better yet, the Rockies. The V10 wont even hang with the Cummins. Not opinion, fact. Throw a fuel plate in the 12v, small set of injectors, and bump the timing, and itll flat outrun the V10.

Plus, how many V10s have you heard of over 800hp on stock internals?

Ill take you for a ride in my 3500 diesel. You wont be thinkin old man afterwards, guaranteed. And I would really love to hear a laughing horse. Can you take vid and post on YouTube? PLEASE?? Haha

i love the V10 and i would have gotten one if i could had afforded the fuel, like you say way smoother and sounds way better, with loads of power stock. that said every one seems to in love with diesels, some kind of american ************ fest. i hate stinkin diesels, just rattlin away, sound awful even the newer ones. But you cant argue with the power if pullin is what you want to do. Diesels have a pretty crap top speed and dont like spending a long time at higher revs, thats why old men buy them to drive around bragging about how much they can tow, when 90% of the time the biggest thing they tow around is their lunch kit. Maybe in about 20 years when they dont sound like tractors and you can have a conversation in the cab without screaming at each other i might get one, like i said, when im old.

have you rode in a diesel pickup truck in the last TEN YEARS!!!! seriously they dont rattle, are as quiet in the cab as our second gen 360 for F**K sakes man, and seriously if you buy a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton its made to work and the cummins will work, why are you wanting to hold high rpms in the first place, how old are you are you ever going to grow up and realize what the world works on, a gas truck is so much better why do you think every semi, and heavy equiptment is a diesel cause it lasts forever and far better on fuel, stronger, hell if you actually kept up in technology you could know this, all new diesel engines are so clean even you can breath the air out of the tailpipe, think a little please cause your making my head hurt from reading stupid. If your looking for top speed buy a damn car please this is just retarded

like i said, diesel ************ fest, its my opinion f+"# head and this is a forum, to discuss our trucks, what the F+'# do you know about anything you two day old chromozone, stay at home with your mum and play with your lego like a good boy. My point is not everyone needs a stinky rattling diesel to go to work and back. (yes funnily i have been in a diesel pick up latley) Tosser.
