That's right ... if you're not experiencing pinging ... puting higher octane gas in the tank doesn't help and can actually hurt (power, mileage, heat).

Save your cash.

I will I'm going away this weekend a 300 mile round trip and I'm at a half tank so I'm going back to 87 in the morning before I start my trip. I'll let you know what my mpg's are when I get back I leave tomorrow at 1.

edit: Never notice the pining. Gess I got lucky.

Full can in the gas tank. I ran half a can in the intake and half in the gas tank, along with 1/2 a can in the crank case about 5000 miles ago, too.
