Muffler/Exhaust
Selling it as a kit doesn't mean much. There are plenty of cat-back systems that are illegal in most states that are sold as kit for various vehicles.
Not sure on the laws for PA as some just have a decible limit and some basically say anything modified or louder than stock is illegal. I'm highly doubting the Super 44 is legal in many area's. I've heard of guys getting tickets for them before but not many.

I found that so it may be legal in PA. Or may not be. I'm not sure how loud it is if you measured it. That's what I found for PA though and they do have a noise limit.

Section B there has the noise limits.
Looks like you guys can have modified exhausts but have a noise limit on them. So you have to go by which muffler makes how much noise not by which muffler it is.

in alabama you have to have a cat and no race mufflers no glass packs shorter than 18in. which mine is illegal and a buddy of mine had a K5 no cats and 12in. glass packs and got a ticket but they usualy arent to bad nothing is realy loud if you ease around in town.
Sounds good. I mean I have sound ... but I don't get to enjoy it. Here is a clip of mine with a pretty low rev.

I bet if I cut those pipes off it will echo off the bed and the ground so I can actually hear it. I like the 44 sound so... I'll do the pipes first and if its not where I want it... I'll do the extreme. Sorry to thread jack by the way.
Btw, I think this is yours too... Think thats what im going to do.

hey does anyone know what the inlet size for the '02 5.9 R/T is? i want to get a flowmaster but they have 2.25", 2.5", and 3". also, i'm looking at a series 44. what do you say ?
if you go to a muffler shop they can expand the muffler to whatever size you need also if you order it and its big the can expand the pipe to fit it so it doesn't realy matter your not gonna lose or gain anything with just that little bit of differance
You are confusing back pressure with scavenging.
Back pressure = bad
Scavenging = good
Well, I want to say thanks guys
. I'm probbly going to go with the magnaflow 14" SI/SO 2.5" in a XL 3 round version. Just want to be different. I have nothing wrong with the Flowmaster, great muffler and awesome sound. But then again everybody has the Flowmaster. Also I think I'll like the sound absoring packing vs. the chamber. And if I can get the muffler man to do it, I'll get the pipe to exit in front of the rear tire.
