Question Cranks, no start.

My ol' lady's truck just died. ('99 1500 4x4, 5.2 w/ 197k on it) It was running crappy (she put "Dry Gas" in the tank just before the engine started cutting out), did a tune up; replaced ignition from the coil to the plugs. Ran good for a week then died again. Starter spins good, has spark, has gas in the tank, no engine codes. "Check Gages" lights up during cranking. Fuel relay is good.

Any suggestions? Is there a fuse before the relay?

I'm just hoping I don't have to drop the tank in a foot of snow.

Get a fuel pressure tester. 49lbs is around where it should be. If that checks out maybe crank position sensor or cam position sensor.

Turns out it's the pump gone bad. What kind of timing is that?!

Timing definitely sucks. I have to fix it while it's still frozen outside or else tomorrow I'll be laying in the mud!

I'm closer to Manchester CT! About 2 1/2 hours away.

You wouldn't know where I can get a cheap air intake for the truck? The stock one exploded when it backfired through the snorkel!

Do the 14x3 conversion, or take a ride to the local JY.

Not too hip on current mods so you'll have to 'splain a 14x3 conversion.
