I prefer Superior over B&M and Transgo.

Fairbanks is a good kit also. Just type in what you want in the seardh engine. You can also go through your local tranny shop and get it. Yes, the 46RE kit will work, they are the same except for the RH has a mechanical governor where the RE has an electrical governor setup.

Yes, positive. The only difference between the 46RH and 46RE trans is that the 46RH trans use a mechanical governor, where the 46RE use a governor pressure solenoid and a governor pressure sensor. All the valves in the valve body are the same, so are the drums, clutches, OD section. You can interchange parts all day long, just not the VB because of the governor situation. Hope this helps.

Trans go is considered the top of line in shift kits. Most complete and in depth. Also the most complicated to install. It takes a very good attention to detail to install one of gils kits.

Superior is an ok kit for a stock rebuild. The superior kits arent really complete or in depth. I use the superior kits along with the Sure Cure kit from sonnax. That is a very good combination.

Transgo and Fairbanks pretty much are considered the two main off road/ racing reprogramming kits.

Transgo also has a Junior kit which competes with the Superior line.

Superior also makes HP kits for different transmissions, but they really dont compete with a fair banks or Transgo

If your looking for extreme heavy duty, off road, or racing then trans go or Fairbanks are the kits you want.

If you want something to just increase the durability of a stock unit then a superior or transgo Junior kit is what you want.
