I could just get a new truck, but I like this one very much. I will say it has no ***** off the line at all, but I can run 100 miles ahour down the road with no problem at all.

I do drive with truck everyday so keep this in mind. What would you do the make this a kick *** 4x4 with ***** and stall drive it every day to work.

I was even thing about a viper v10 install, but I think that would be very hard and not sure if it would work in my truck. As I said no more then $10.000
W/ 10 grand you should do a new truck mod.

if you have the time and know how....stroke it. donnt waste your time with all the little boltons. i mean they do give you some power, but nothing like a stroker. go big and never look back and be done with it. you will be grinnin from ear to ear everytime you drive your truck.

and just so you know.10k might sound like alot. but its really not. i am getting close to that now. and will be there as soon as i buy my suspension lift.

get a procharger is your best bet saving some money and not going all out on a new motor, check out the video on lil red wagon its like 5000, and works on stock very easy to install and you get 50-65 % more power its intercooled also keep the 5.2 very reliable motor http://www.procharger.com/multimedia.shtml

after you have like 4 grand left , to do what ever

-gears
-sct tuner
-msd ignition W/ngk plugs
-fastman 53mm since its superchargerd
-long tube headers
-highflow cat
-muffler(extreme or flowmaster 40)
-1.7 harland sharp rollor rockers
- plenum kit
-e-fans
there more just giving you ideas

so for that being said you would be saving money and you would be looking at lots of power from the supercharger and the bolt-ons and with the sct , you would prob sh*t you pants. good luck with whatever you do bro make sure you take a look at that video some truck on here have that smae supercharger and love it

I did some reading today on the 408 and the Procharger. They both sound good for what I want in my truck.

With the 408 what would I have to do on the foul side since it's a foul injected and also what about the computer for a motor like that?

When it comes to the Procharger you would still be looking at aroundunder 400 HP if my math is right, but in case you put the two together what then.

I will be doing all of this sometime in the early spring thats why I'm asking for help now. I also need to know more about the Exhaust System.

the exhaust varys when you start modding like what you plan on doing. It all comes down to Exhaust Gas Velocity (EGV). the size and style of you exhaust will depend on what cubic inch engine you end up with and the RPM you plan on drinving in. In simple terms, small ci + low RPM = small diameter pipe, large ci + high RPM = Large diameter pipe. As far as exhaust when you add forced induction, think of as adding ci's (with the exception of turbos).
If you were to run a 408 with a procharger, i would be thinkning along the lines of between dual 2.5" and 3" tubing with a good muffler, again depending on the RPMs

Any thing I do to the truck will have to pass the Pa a inspection. So the the cat has to be there and all o2 sincers. I have to keep it legal in other words.

Also any one know what will I have to do with the Computer and foul with a 408 stroker moter. I haven't been able to find any information on that. At this point I think the 408 is the way to go for my needs. This truck will be as I said for work so low RPM under 80 miles hour, but still some what good on gas.......LOL
