Have you checked your power steering fluid lately? Is there any noise associated with the hard turning, such as a kind of a howling sound?

Kind of a dumb question, but is the truck in 4 wheel drive?

The chirping thing when you lock the doors is optional. My truck did it when I first got it and it bothered the crap outa me. So then I programmed it so it would not honk the horn every time it was locked (but I cant remember how, I believe I looked it up in the owners manual). Maybe you accidentally pushed the code to make it not honk?

I would look toward something in front suspension. Check your wheel bearings, ball joints, bad tie rods maybe? Seems like something is putting the steering in a bind.

by struggle, do you mean the engine would struggle? or is it hard to turn the steering wheel when you're not moving? or does it feel like your front brakes are on when you're turning?

If the engine is struggleing, you might have a locked up rear diff that isn't allowing the rear tires to move at different speeds and putting a load on the tranny.

If it's hard to turn you're looking at a number of things it can be from wheel bearings to brake calipers to steering components.

If it feels like your front brakes are on in the turn, you might have a pinched brake line that whenever you turn the wheels with the brakes on it locks the pressure until you turn it straight again.

Hope this helps with the hunt.

I know that not the my powersteering, it struggles to accelerate properly while turning. for example it like if you have a std transmission and you are letting it go of the clutch to fast and what does it do? it stuggles. the motion is like that. except my truck is automatic. btw how can you tell your diff is lockin up?

Stop me if I'm being stupid; Could he simply have a bad serpentine belt? The turning puts
extra load because of the power steering pump and since the belt is bad it slips more?
I know thats kinda out in left field but I thought I'd throw it out there.
Do you get any creaking? groaning? Have you checked your steering stabilizer? I had a
bent stabilizer from an off road incident and it really mucked up my steering capability.
