Good idea for a thread. I am going to a U-pull-it probably Saturday just to see what I can find. Maybe a few clunkers will be around.. It'd be nice to find a brushguard..off-road light..Lighted visor..dunno what else.

I live close to an all Chrysler junkyard they always have what I'm looking for. Bout 6 weeks ago I found a truck with a complete skyjacker 5" lift but one of the control arms was bent they only wanted 200 for it. Just got done doing timing chain waterpump and all that good stuff and didn't have the cash

if you can't find any of the junkyard items locally then call up this place: http://www.mintonmotorsinc.com/index.html
they have lots of used ram parts, good prices and they ship so you don't have to drive out to kentucky.

Thats availible on the aftermarket now, Help/Dorman products sells them. That way you won't have to worry about breaking anything trying to remove it.

hey sheriff, I'm just curious but you always seem to be plugging that website. Why is that? I checked them out and they don't seem that special. I mean, there prices seem to be a little expensive for a salvage yard.

the prices on the site are for new parts. you need to call them to get used part prices.
i'm always "plugging" the site because it is a dodge specific salvage yard and you can get just about anything you need for a dodge truck from there. i don't know about where you're at but all the junk yards around here are pretty dry in the dodge area. if any of them get a dodge on the lot it'll be stripped of any parts that are worth getting within a day or two.

I was just curious, that's all. I know that some yards have MAYBE 1 ram and it's stripped to hell. I'm lucky enough to have a few bone yards around me that have a lot of rams (no rust and in great condition) Curiosity just got the best of me. Didn't mean to come off like a punk if thats how I sound.

Hey purpl, do you know if the 2 piston calipers fit on 97's (1500) without the spindles?
