For the amp I'd get one close to 50 watts rms. A little more should be fine too but so should a 50 watt one. Just makes sure it's RMS not peak power.
If you just want to power these two speakers you can get a 2 channel amp. If you want to power the rear speakers too I'd get a 2 channel amp instead of 2 2 channel amps. I got a 4 channel amp for my speakers and a single channel amp for my sub.

lots of options with amp's. And it definatly depends on your price range.
I had an alpine MRA-F350 in mine connected to my Alpine DVA-9860. It's a full 5.1 surround sound amp, 5 channel. 5th channel is for the center speaker. Made even crappy Pioneer speakers sound good. I no longer have it in the truck. Replaced it with a Kenwood double din setup. What made it so nice was that there were no RCA cables to the amp for each channel, just a single cable to it and the amp was controlled by the head unit. I'm selling the entire setup, so if your interested let me know.
It's usually best to have a sub on it's own amp so if you go with an amp, keep that in mind.

Alpine MRP-F450. I don't know if you can still get it. I've had mine for slightly over a year and they kept being sold out then and finally got some in and I got one.

you have a double din radio?
Sure do. Still have to complete the install but it's in and it fits. Kenwood DDX6019.
2nd gens actually have a din & half opening, but the space is only a half inch short of being a double din. Cup holders and ashtray still fit. Will be removing the crappy cupholder though and putting a center channel speaker in there eventually.

Anything is possible with enough time and or money. However, why would you want it? It's not like their aren't plenty of direct fit single din radios out there that are great. Plus if you ever sell this you can move the single din radio to almost any car or truck with a mounting kit however, a double din radio would leave you pretty limited on what you could take it too.
I havent been on for a while and would like to input back on this thread... dont do the same setup with the tweeters low on the door panel by your mid range speakers like hometheater has, I admit, it is any easy, quick, not all out way of doing it, but if you actually want the professional effect out of that tweeter, mount it high, at least to the top of your door, if you can even higher, I know its more work, but its worth it, the components are meant to be seperated, thats why you see in any stock component application the tweeters are up in the dash/pillar, somewhere high, if you put them down lower you lose those highs when they mix with the mids and it doesnt project as well. (HIGHS DONT PROJECT AS WELL AS MIDS AND LOWS!!!!) hence the reason you hear low level bass twice as far away as you even hear a good high range audio. You can listen to these guys and throw two 12's in these trucks and sure, youll get a lot of sound, but it wont sound real special... too much air movement in to little space distorts sound just as much as having a bad speaker does or having a good speaker running on too little power.
And if you want a double din setup, go for it, dont let people discourage you just because they arent willing to put effort into their own setups. some people think that just because they dont care enough, means noone else should. Btw, if you can, get an amp that runs more than what your speakers are rated for, then you can set it down to that level and have the control over it, you dont want its highest to be the speakers highest because then you end up at a stopping point on your audio, they will reach a certain level, and then even if you turn up the volume on the h/u and see the numbers rising nothing will happen unless its all just in your head...
And I want to see someone go into a stereo store and tell the people who work in there that their rockford fosgate products "arent up to standard with their kicker products" because they will be laughed out the door.
I just wanted to add this, Infinitys highest cost top subwoofer has the same specs for the most part that rockfords p2 12 inch has... and rockfords punch series is there standard series, and the p2 is the mid range of their standard series, there is a step above that that has even more desirable specs than the top infinity, the p3, then you jump into the power t series. So before going out and saying that the infinity has better sq, more sound, and is a better sub, study into it. And I highly recommend not getting infinity reference speakers with the ghetto button to increase volume on the tweeter, because it doesnt really do anything, and those speakers sound awful... and thats from experience, those are what I had in the back of my truck prior to my current setup and was thoroughly disappointed in those...

Well for one, single din units flip UP their lcd's...right in the way of the OD & fog light buttons. Not very practical. Plus it puts the screen up high enough to be seen out the back window. I dont want someone watching my screen and not paying attention to the road.
Second, single din units have hideaway brains, that have to have a place to go, not easy with our dash setups and a pain to do.
Thrid, I had it laying around and it is by far better then the stock unit or even thr crap panasonic cd player that was installed, so why not? Any time someone says something can't be done is when I go and prove them wrong. I have always had high end systems in my cars. Was sponsored by both Alpine & Kenwood for shows in the past. Most the guys I know there are now gone so I dont get as great of a deal anymore (meaning free stuff) but I usually get around half off.
I'll get some pics up tomorrow. Just keep in mind that it isn't anywhere near that good of an install yet.
Headrest lcd's were ordered last week so I should have those installed within the next month as I get time. Will keep the kids busy so they dont bug me so much.
