You would do this if you were running a sub or something like that.
Keep in mind that bridging the amp ONLY works on an amp setup for it. If its not setup for it, you will blow that amp up pretty damn quick.

you need to size the amp to your speakers. it would be better to know exactly what you have or what your planning to put in.

Doesn't matter if your putting in a sub or not. Like others have said, too little power to your speakers will ruin them and the same thing goes for too much power.

that big of an amp are you sure it's not a mono amp? Thats pretty high for a 2 channel amp.

I honestly don't know...I bought it at WalMart a few years back...and it's 760...not 780. Specs on WalMart say 2 channel 760w Max

still no one understands that when you buy a **** 760watt amp at walmart it is NOT 760watts..like if you bought a kicker or JL amp. Your speaker amp should be 90w RMS. I would say 50w is a bit underpowered for decent speakers. I have a 4 chan 90 watt powering my 4 speakers and its alittle underpowered. both of those amps are junk but since you have an unrealistic price range for wanting quality just get the sony.

Uh...ok...?....I bought it and used it with a 12 Kicker Comp that I had...and it was used with the speakers...worked just fine, and sounded great. So, am I gathering that RMS and AMPs are different ratings?
