Default California sucks

damn i cant wait to move out of this state....ive been driving around all day to try to find a shop that will cut just one of my cats off, because i have three, so i can run dual exhaust. i think i might of found a place to do the dirty deed though. on the upside of things....i ordered the 1.7 HS rockers from summit today. anybody with any tips on installing them would be appreciated.

I'm with you brother. This is a case when MORE (cats) is NOT better for performance. However, it is better for SoCal smog reduction. I remember my first time at Irwindale speedway and admiring the mountains in the morning and then barely being able to see them in the afternoon due to the gray haze.
Even with my truck having over 90k miles, I can run it in the garage with the door shut and my sensitive nose can barely smell any fumes. Maybe the haze I saw at Irwindale was purple haze. I can't really remember clearly, but it was gnarley man.

Wow that was a good trip. Ok back to reality,

if you put a performance tune in the PCM, 1.7 RR and just a cat back exhaust, your engine will still roar.

Move here man. Southern Oregon. Go to Dean's I'm sure he'll take care of it. If not we can take it out to my dad's buddy's welding shop and do it. lol
And your profile says you like hunting and fishing. We got 2 rivers running through town and lakes and ponds all over. And pretty good hunting all over. Just don't bring a bunch of those wierdo's from California with you.

3 cats is ridiculous,
however I don't think there are any power robbage or breathing problems below 3000rpms.
Only the full throttle maniacs need to be concerned about the extra cats restricting "so much power".
