Unhappy Truck dies when driving slowly sometimes

yesterday i changed the sparkplugs in my truck to the ngk v-powers but did not do wires or the cap and also re-routed my exhaust to a 3" before the tire. now when im idling around it will die if i give it a quick punch in the gas. what could it be

If i were you, I would look at 2 things. because I fixed this problem on accident.

-Throttle positioning sensor (replaced this to fix my cruise control)

-Idol air valve (replaced this to help stop pinging)

Both of these things effect Idle very strongly. If you unplug your tps sensor your engine will chug and prolly die. Idol air vavle was stuck open in mine, adleast clean it

Did you reset your PCM after doing all of thoughs changes?

It could be something really weird like your torque converter is trying to lock at low speeds, but not if it started after you making some changes..

hoep this helps

remove negative battery cable and turn ignition switch to 'start' for about 30 seconds. somehow this discharges the memory. then reconnect battery.

after the battery is disconnected, when you "start" your motor, the starter drains any capacitive power that is stored in the electronics scattered about your electrical system, so there is nothing to keep the memory active. you could also wait a long time and prolly achieve the same results

I had a similar issue , I had a jet performance stage 2 9004 chip , and it was sending volts left and right to sensors casuing my truck to rev it self in gear and die if i gave it light gas. I changed my TPS and Tempeature sensor , not sender and i was still having that problem, but the reason i mention this, i read somewhere that the TEMP sensor can effect idle and cause the same response. I fixed it by removing my chip that turned out to be shorted out. Still havent gotten a replacement yet.

capacitive power just means energy stored in a capacitor.. just a fancy word
