I had the older M3 style mirrors and they looked good at first, but the mirror part had a distortion to the image, the power part never did work right no matter how much time I spent tryin to get the right sequence of wires figured out and they didn't have enough travel to see properly, but they looked better then the goofy chrome elephant ears my 96 came with. I ended up goin to the black 98-01 style mirrors. Cal-vue makes a nice but pricey sport truck style mirror

I don't think there is a fuse for the mirrors. Trust me. I stared at the fusebox for 2 hours last weekend!(Fog Lights)

Look under the hood in that fuse box and I bet you find your blown fog light fuse. happens to my 3/4 tons fogs once in a while.

No, I built my own harness this weekend. I just had the cover off the whole time.

I appreciate all of the opinions. I know about the wiring bit, I don't think it would be too difficult. I'm not crazy for the ones in the links, I just was giving an example. My other big dilema is that I like the flat black look of our stock mirrors and those look like they are glossy. I think i'm just gonna stick with stock!

Thread resurrection. Did you ever do this? I've been wanting to do the same (but with towing mirrors). I also have no power/heated mirrors. I was trying to find out how difficult it would be and what all would be needed other than the mirrors.

I went from power heated mirrors to manual non heated tow mirrors, got them for $100 for the pair, so I can live without the heat.
