i agree with indyram. i like loud exhaust, but there is good loud and ugly loud, and it has nothing to do with the volume. you need a muffler or resinator to get rid of that gross, open exhaust, flat cam sound. you can run a flowmaster single chamber and be very close to that loud, except it will sound good. IMHO, open exhaust, on the street sounds the worst, unless you have a heavily modified engine, and its meant for weekend/track use only

i think that will be fun.. i would like to have one to run on the highway/back roads...

but i also agree with helms with open exhaust sounds good with heavily modified engine and such.

but are you puting it after the cat or before? before the cat will be louder but you will need sum 02 slim so you don't throw a cell.

do you think you truck will ever be loud enough for you?..lol

preference on intensity is one thing, but cutouts sound like exhaust leaks on stock cammed vehicles. In a truck it will be even more suspect for an exhaust leak, as trucks tend to be the vehicles with exhaust leaks most. (not for a design reason but rather an owner caused reason)

You are also not gonna do much in the way of power if you think you will. Maybe 2-3 hp gain, but you'll lose torque so its your choice.

Behind the cat cutout reduced my Indys average ets by .02 on the 1/4mile. Slightly slower off the line, slightly faster in the upper rpms. Sounded like crap, droned in the cab. I ditched it when I had to replace the h/f cat to pass an etest.

Put it ahead of the cat and it will be obnoxious but at least give a real power gain
