Default 5.2 leaks oil from head gasket after rpm head install

ok. I put a new set of Edelbrock RPM heads onto the 5.2 going into my wrangler. I basically replaced all the seals while the engine was out. Got the engine in and started noticing oil between the transmission and engine. Running down the bell housing and dripping out between the inspection cover of the tranny. I thought the rear main was messed up so I replaced the rear main and still noticed some seeping. I started looking over everything and noticed i have an oil leak coming from in between the new heads and block at the back of the engine on the passenger side. It looks like its running down and in between the tranny and block to come out the bottom of the bell housing. Could the head gasket be bad? dont have any other systems of a bad head gasket. could the head bolts need to be retorqued. I have not retorqued after the motor was installed and run through heat cycles. I really dont want to have to pull the head off to fix but will if I have too. Any ideas on this?

Valve covers most likely....what side of the engine is it on? Oil pressure sensor could be leaking too, it's at the back on top next to a head...I THINK on the passenger side but can't remember off hand.

The only reason I can think of that the new head gasket would be leaking after replacing it is that you didn't properly torque the heads down as far as following the torque pattern.

I would have to agree with froesen and dh that it is most likely the valve covers or something.

Since this is in a jeep/rock crawler, there is not much fender or body left so I have a pretty good view of the engine. I am going to really look it over and see if its the valve cover or something. The oil pressure sending unit is located back there as well but its new too. We followed the torque specs to a tee and installed new roller rockers on it. I will keep you guys posted.
I still think its the head gasket seeping and its on the passenger side, very back corner above the oil filter.
