Default 3 inch lift kits question?

How come with a 3-inch Skyjacker lift they give you 3-inch lift coils, but only give 2-2 1/2" rear lift leafs? I am going to get the 3-inch Rough Country lift, but it comes with rear blocks. I am not about to stack the blocks to achieve lift. So I figured just buy an AAL. But will the truck sit higher in the front with 3-inch coils and only 2 1/2 inch leafs in rear? Or will it all just level out fine? Thanks.

Should level out fine. Front of ram sits 1/2 inch lower than the back.

Thats what I thought. my Dodge has 5-leaf springs, so I shouldn't have any problems installing an AAL?

You will want to get new u-bolts. The added leaf may make your current u-bolts too short, plus it is considered a bad idea to reuse the u-bolts even if they are still long enough.

Not mention it makes the whole process a lot easier! Just cut the old u-bolts instead of fighting them! Replace with new, much simpler operation.

Thanks for the input, I worried the front would be higher than the rear.

When I put that leaf on, it was stiff enough that the rear was still higher then the front. But over time, it settled down, and my truck is pretty well level now.

Is it still a good idea to get new control arms?
