I liked my chrome exhaust tips although they did rust through. I hated my stainless steel ones at first as it seems like they change colors and you have to keep them polished to look decent where as the chrome I just wiped off every so often. Not having to polish them once a week sometimes more to keep them looking good. Seems like if I take a trip I can get there and sometimes back and I need to polish them again. They usually last a week or so but I hardly drive it during that time.

The chrome did rust though and the stainless I can just polish and have look good again instead of having them rust which looks bad too. I think it's a toss up. I liked the chrome ones okay and I like the stainless ones okay after figuring out how to keep them looking good. The stainless ones are a lot of work though.

Grade 8 bolts with a locking mechanism, usually a formed piece of metal that keeps outward tension on the bolt and catches on the metal of your headers to keep them from coming loose. 90% of the time, if you tighten your headers up right, all you need is just plain old grade 8 bolts. Headers are never going to perfectly fit to your block that why you have to tighten them up several times in about the first month they are on your truck.

What about your actual steering shaft? If everything up front is tight, then its prolly in your steering somewhere. Turn the key on and have someone turn the steering wheel and see if there is excessive play anywhere.
