you got to check the hose from the engine bay to the vacuum switch on the transfer case. Could be a clogged switch too.

There is one plastic line running down the back of the engine that goes to the switch on the transfer case. Or go backwards and follow the 2 at the cad back to the switch, then from there to the engine bay. Passenger side, where all the other ones are. It will T into those. Also you might have a diagram on the rad support.

well i know that i have a few broken vac lines in the engine bay, like the on that controls the heater switch( like where the blower blows) is broke, i am stuck on permanent defrost.

if it is the same lines, then i will have to get that looked into...

Yes, they are all in the same area. And all hooked up together in one way or another. There are T,s and check valves.

Just a thought..I had an old Cherokee that had the same problem. Turns out that I had driven it through some mud and water and sucked it through the vacuum lines. Ended up using compressed air and blowing the lines out. If its not a broken vacuum line, try shooting air through the hoses from the t-case to the axle (with them both disconnected of course). This fixed my problem. Good luck
