So, I know a lot of people have done the setup of the foglights, or off road lights behind the grill of their trucks, And I like the look of that, but does anyone have a good way of setting them up without zipties like I have seen?? A good way to mount them?? I really want to try this as all of my foglights that I set up down in the bumper always manage to get smashed up somehow... I dont even know how considering I dont follow other vehicles down gravel roads very often considering Im the one leading the way normally...

I found it, thanks for the help, Ill try and see what I can do with it, Im not sure if I want to leave the grill solid in front of them either or if I want to mount them onto the actual grill and have them in cutout slots in the grill, that would mean that they would raise with the hood to though... if I try that I will post up pics for everyone.

oh and i installed a different rocker switch for it.. its got a cover like a race car. when people see it they think its nitros =]

Yeah I have looked into this a few times. So far I have come up with nothing. I was trying to come up with something like the 3rd Gens have. Their fronts are set up different then ours and have more room in there or an actual place to mount them. I might try again someday but I gave up when the last attempt failed.

 

I prefer to let air come through my grill into my trans cooler and radiator instead of letting light go out of my grill.

 

how bout it on of my friend has a forester and he had 4 hugh lights behind the grill. I was like have you though of any air flow getting to yr motor or turbo?

Do it the way I did. Cost me about $2 in materials and works flawlessly. Also no part of the Rad is blocked.



Take a piece of flat stock, and bolt it in using the existing bolts that go into the back of those front rails on the side.

Look at the Hella 500's, now look at the black pieces behind them. That's what I'm talking about.
