Many midwestern states don't have inspections as well. ND, SD, Montana, Wyoming don't, I believe Nebraska doesn't either. Not sure on Idaho, but I know Colorado does, and I think Minnesota does. Not sure on Iowa... but who cares about Iowa anyway.

Missouri Has it, and while its not very stringent, I still just have found a guy that will right you up as passing every time. Ethically its not correct, but I would fail mine every time with no cats on there. I just call him and remind him of the year and model, and the current mileage, and he writes up the papers and gives me a sticker.

no inspection here in ohio. but sometimes i wish they would, just so some of the vehicles on the road that are a danger to everyone couldnt get licensed.

My truck isnt Cali equipped, so I only have one cat to begin with. Also, it clogged up about month ago, and since I don't get visually inspected, I just cut it off punched thw guts out of it and welded it back on.

But running a high flow cat will flow as much as an open pipe, will keep the exhaust from stinking like a trailer park, and should reduce decel pops.
