More questions :-)

It is normal that when I'm driving over 50 MPH and I press on the gas pedal the RPM's are not jump until I have press the pedal almost all the way to the floor? Just nothing happened. No acceleration.
One of my friend told me that this is normal in those trucks.

when driving at over 50 you likely have the TC locked up and possibly in overdrive, so mashing the gas more won't result in higher rpm unless you either gain speed or downshift or unlock the TC.

my truck was very sluggish like this and didn't want to gain any speed. it seemed like the gas pedal was just sort of dead. i replaced the TPS and it did some better. as i mashed the gas a little more it picked up a little speed, but not a lot of rpm.

in order to increase a lot of rpm, you need a TC unlock or downshift. this is controlled by the throttle valve (TV) cable that runs from the TB to the transmission. it influences shifting, both up and down.

Doubtful ... do the TV cable adjustment (http://bionicdodge.com/Download/Dodg...Adjustment.pdf) and see if that helps ... what engine do you have again?

I was asking because if you had a V6, I was gonna say, "Normal ops" ... but either of the 8's should have enough nuts to accelerate even in O/D. I'd seriously consider adjusting the TV cable to give quicker kickdown (aka - passing gear).

My 97 does the EXACT SAME THING!!! I thought I was losing my mind. it was making me paranoid that my tranny was going to give at any moment. After a while I just accepted it as something that just happens. I adjusted the TV cable and that didn't help any. Next I'll see if the TPS is the problem. then the brake light switch. I seriously hope its something small so I don't have to spend big money on it.

You can always put it back to where it was originally ... just mark it before yo move it.
