Default what could this be

i just had my trac bar replaced on my 97 1500 4x4 and it is alot better.
it still feels loose as heck. but it does real good when cold but when it warms up it is real loose steereing. does almost feel like something is loose in the front drivers side but only on the up-bump(not when i hit a bump initially but when it comes up from the bump) i hope someone understands what i just said lol!!
steering wheel has about 2 inches of play. everything feels tight when i yank on them too.
thanks

i dont know off hand, but you have to do some digging. Crawl under there and check for worn out balljoints, tie-rods, etc. if there is excess play in the wheel, and the steering linkage past the box is all tight, then youll have to check the intermediate shaft and the box itself, process of elimination. i just took about 1.5" of play out of my wheel by tightening the ends of the intermediate shaft so the splines were tighter.... scary, but who doesnt love a free fix?

Too many to go through?????????????????

No offense dude, but you probably wouldn't have had to go through them all. Just the first few.

Take an hour (which is less than what you've been waiting for a response here) and sort through some posts. 99% sure you'll at least get some ideas of where to start.
